Anoikis's Warband 8: Snow day like today

The first two tournaments were no challenge at all and I was able to net myself 3000 apiece, I think I also managed to find all my old companions as well. Although I may have forgotten one like they forgot me. Obviously I didn’t make enough of an impression with my Axe+Axe+bikini+ugg boot style.
The third tournament posed a bit of a challenge, it was being held in RiverCreek and I was worried the Vague King might be there. So I covered myself up and collected four quarterstaffs and attempted to sneak in. One of the guards recognized my boots though so I had to bash him over the head, Pretty sure he slept through the whole tournament.
A couple of my companions also entered, they had no trouble getting through the gates. But unfortunately there was no nobility participating, so I made short work of the competition with my bow and won once more, it’s a pity my party members didn’t get past the half way mark. One bonus of having no nobility was now I knew nobody was guarding RiverCreek, so after a little celebration in the tavern I laid siege to the city. Once again the Vague King attacked me and one again I rode all over him, next time I may catch him too.
I kept making silly mistakes on the front line and having to get rescued, so it took three tries to capture the city. In the end they gave up and accepted me as their Queen. When I went to sell my loot in the armoury I found a masterwork siege crossbow. I really wanted it, but even selling all my gear didn’t come close to the asking price. I bet it was worth more than the city itself. I really need to train somebody up as a trader so I can get better deals, though even that may not have helped. I probably would have given it to my companions anyway because I like riding my horse.

Now that I once  again have a place for my court to meet I think it is time to siege some more, my budget indicates I make quite a bit of capital from the rent of my holdings. Though I really need more minions to secure my land, so off we go to war. Three castles down I have defeated another four Vague Lords and on my way to the fourth castle I have to backtrack to break a siege. Only it’s an ally sieging my castle?

After a rather confusing conversation it seems he wants to join my cause. I said OK and he wandered off. I don’t know where he came from or where he went and I really should have asked him his name.  I suppose I should give him a castle as a reward for believing in me.

I think from here the plan will be to make the Vague Alps mine, there’s snow day like today, and delaying is just boring. I want all my companions to stay with me for a while yet, so I suppose I’ll have to look for more local Lords to maintain my lands. If I can press the offensive hard enough I may be able to oust the Vague King before he can mount a counterattack. If I can defeat two enemies and not be defeated myself in every battlefield I see no issues with this plan. Mostly it seems that with the help of ten competent warriors I can take/hold any fortress. After all only 2 people can swing an axe on the stairs at the same time.

51 Days after everybody else getting amnesia I have gathered all of the Vague Kings land under my banner, I dont know where he has gone but half his Lords turned up in RiverCreek to swear Loyalty to me. I'm not entirely sure I trust them but at least now I wont have to micromanage all my future takings. My Bikini Parasise is in red below.

On my way to have another chat to Perl Firentis, the Kinslayer, came to me grumbling about my choice of companions. I like all of them but not many of them seem to like each other. So I decided to send him on a holiday. Almost immediately after Art the Architect threatened to leave me for the same reasons.

Lez on the other hand decided to give me some helphull advice. Though mostly I fond my minions charge up on their horses and then stand there on horsback swinging at anybody who comes near. permenant high ground but not much more strategy than that.

Finally found Perl again but she no longer wants my help because I have become a queen myself. I'm not sure if I would be able to undo all that work. I suppose I could pick a fight with every nation, then let them take all my lands? Meh instead of going for Girl Power, I will just have to get the title of Empress for myself. I was probably going to do that later regardless.

Anoikis's Warband 7: Amnesia? How cliche!

No it does seem everybody forgot who I am, even Perl. Once again I feel like a novice in a new land and have to build up my reputation from scratch. So here I am a stranger in a familiar land, with nothing but Ugg boots a tan bikini and my trusty axe. Once again I have a long road in front of me and a lot of learning. This time though I know what is achievable so I’ll make no secret of my plans to take over the entire world. First I’ll need to acquire a horse and some food. With that I should start trawling the taverns for adventurous individuals to help me in my quest.

Yeah, pretty much everybody had amnesia. Although it was nice to be reminded of somethings. I met up with Perl again and apparently I need a better reputation, she doesnt beleive I could take over the whole world, I suppose I did fail last time. So I went to claim myself a winter villa.

The King of the Vauge didnlt appreciate this at all Probably because I acheived three things at the same time and he was jealous. With the frequency castles chage ofners it couldnt have been that I stole his land.
Although the seige itself was easy enough to win, it was pretty boring waiting for the action. So after breaking the seige thrice and defeating the Vauge King twice I was eventually too far from my villa to rescue it the fouth time.

Maybe tournaments will be a better way to regain my fame?

Anoikis the Fabled: Pixi dust Paradise

Anoikis the Fabled: Pixi dust Paradise

I got to play a tabletop game with some teenage boys, it was very well done and seemed much more real that the real world. I wonder how that can be?

Since the Boss of Bandits taught me that heroes are immortal I followed his lead and combined the magic of fire and lightning to share. It seems to me that shooting behind my back is a little too flashy and nobody has acknowledged my prowess with the rifle so I gave up on that. While I did whack a few stray dogs with my hammer it just doesn’t have the same effect as using an axe. I miss Anoikis’s Axes, they had a certain alliteration about them. At any rate I like Lightning because it makes skeletons and fire seems a nice combo, and since a combo sounds more powerful I’ll stick with that.
It seems that the more I use a skill the better I am at it. This is odd. The magic was way better than melee or ranged at the Beginning of my career (despite my training in the martial arts) and now it is way more better (having been further upgraded to More). I’ll need to find some massively mechanically maiming hardware to compete with my mastery of magic.
In fact now I am a Sith Lord, nearly, Just need to eat some more baby chicks to get a fitting aura. My new magic glove allows me to throw enemies back out of melee range. Added to that is a flashy bit of lightning.

I was poking around without my pixi dust and found some bits of a dead dog. Eventually I found the last piece on an alter and put all the rest there too. For a little bit I though I was able to have a pet ghost dog. But it wasn't to be. All Seth the dog wanted was to sleep where a sword was in a mausoleum. Oh well... Maybe I can make my pet dog a dead pet dog? P.S. I named him Saint earlier.

Been a bit of a struggle to keep my diary up to date. there has been a lot of repetitive hole digging that's not really worth mentioning. and a few really interesting places like a musical puzzle in the sand to unlock a golden key. Also I occasionally get attacked by chickens when I sit down to update my journal.

At any rake the most notable thing was that I am now a queen.Although I suppose I was a Princess in the beginning so maybe that shouldn't really be a surprise. I have completely mastered my magic. and although I didn't try to be good I had more gold that I could poke a stick at so I have been very generous. people in the street keep giving me gifts. but they are always material things and I have enough gold to buy them myself if I ever wanted it.
I have bought up nearly every building on the continent. I suppose you could say the land is owned by the crown.
Finding the keys had been a lot more interesting than using them to unlock chests. All the loot I get seems to be less useful weapons or aesthetic. Although it is fun to dig tattoos out of the ground.
Hunting for the gold keys I found a new use for the imaginary pixi dust. I can use it as a breadcrumb trail like Hansel and Gretel when navigating a maze.
While there have been a few moral decisions I've only had a couple of moral dilemmas and they were at the start I think I mentioned them both already. I asked to have a scary blood soaked castle to bring terror to my enemies. but I don't think the decorator has started yet. I've conserved nature. and at the very moment I am making a Balverine preserve.

Do I accept the possibility that zero of my subjects will die in the coming war? Seems fine to me. Interesting side note. When I am adventuring time doesn't pass, there are day night cycles but I have all the time in the world to complete my quests. As soon as I come to do some politics, months disappear.

Turns out that I am a paragon of nobility. for a instant I had wings and looked like an angel. but then I went back to the mortals realm and vanquished the darkness. Wow that was easy I should have done that a long time ago. Now, back to excavating the temple of evil. Once its up and running I'll return to my warband and have some more picnics on the battlefield.

Anoikis the Fabled: Choices choices

Anoikis the Fabled: Choices choices

Finally I am free of the moustache, all the townsfolk already thought I was a comedian. then one of the bandits called me steve, so I shot him and took the moustache off. Evidently my rifle has magic homing bullets and if I shoot in the general vicinity of my opponent the bullet always reaches their heart. Now is that nifty. Also lighting makes skeletons. not living ones. Jiust ornamental. But thats OK I guess.

Hold the phone, I'm Immortal. Some big boss dude is throwing Molotov cocktails at me and I am electrocuting myself and occasionally I fall over but it seems to me that I am immortal.

After some time passed the big fellow got electrocuted slowly. Then he apologized so I helped him up off the ground. I think I made a new friend.

My next quest involves finding some chickens that are more intelligent than townsfolk. I am assured that it will be quite easy. Turns out it was an easy quest and the Chickens really are a lot smarter than all the villagers. Shall I kill them to save these poop people from their chicken overlords? Or shall I defend the chickens as they will surely be able to teach the villages many things.
I think I will allow the chicken to live and prosper. They are much more deserving than these townsfolk who keep wanting to shake my hands for some bizarre reason. This decision seems to have caused the entire structure of the world to collapse. Enough so that I have to power cycle the entire universal system.
Either I went back in time of the chickens escaped again. next time they will not have a second chance...

My next task was to play a play. I got to meet some ghosts that were very nice, I showed some affection then they attacked me, then they stopped and were nice again. I like the ghosts much better than the chickens.

Afterwards I got to watch the play. I didn't really understand what was happening but I felt a bit naked. these people seem to laugh at me. They are nor impressed by my constitution at all. I suppose it looses the effect when its not snowing. Seems I'll quit being a Berzerker for now.

I lost my imaginary pixi dust. But then I found it again. All I needed to do was climb inside my pocket and play with my model train set (it has no trains) until I find a person with a glowing explanation mark. Then I hit them with the old  One Two Combo and whala. Back on track, walking on pixi dust.

I found a gift inside my pocket too. I was given a choice. Not the normal choice of Gratefully accept/ regretfully decline. My choice was to begrudgingly accept my destiny or Refuse to interact with the world anymore. As I stood there pondering the gift I realised that all my decisions have been like that.

Anoikis the Fabled: Fable III

Anoikis the Fabled. Who am I? Am I an ethereal entity? Yes, yes I am. Can I interact with the environment, no I cannot. It seems I need to Embody something.
Oh look there is a bloke and a Sheela, I suppose I can reside my sole within one of them for a time. Hrm Which one? I think the Sheela looks a bit like a nurse and the bloke doesn't look like a doctor.

So here I am in a female body, and its in a bed, and I'm sleeping with a dog. Hrm I didn't think I was into that sort of thing, maybe I am mistaken.
The butler woke me up and told me I was lazy, so I wondered around the room and put off getting dressed as long as possible. There was a telescope at the window and some books. but I was too lazy to use any of it.
Eventually I put on some practical clothes and went to meet some bloke. There was a gardener along the way so we held hands and I took him to see the other person.

Apparently we know each other quite well and he is a bit of a general, and so is my dog, my dog must be male.

I hug the bloke a powered up hug. I wonder if I can get a combo hug? and KO him with a hug?

Eventually I got another chance to make a choice. The king called Brother will kill whoever I chose, the friendly general or a group of noisy people. King Brothers doesn't seem very naive so I figure he will kill everybody to spite me. So I said nothing. And he did kill everybody to spite me. Now my butler is unhappy and we are going camping. Yay, camping.

But first I had to go to a pocket plane, apparently my destiny is set in stone and lots of other people have trod the same path. Maybe it is a never ending cycle, maybe this is all a recurring dream of mine and none of it is real?

Continuing deeper into the tomb I found myself wondering if my first fight will be against the mummified remains of the previous heroes that dotted the path. But no just bats. I suppose that fits better than giant rats or slimes. Maybe this path leads to the Arkham Asylum? Although there were only small bats so maybe not.

Conveniently I will never get lost as unlike in Neverwinter where I kept getting lost in hallways I now have a glowing sparkly path to follow. If I meet any wicked witches I will call the path the yellow brick road but for now it is imaginary pixi dust. I don't seem to be able to get rid of it I tried shaking my head and everything. Nobody else seems to notice it.

I wonder if here too I can wear a bikini and ugg boots just like in the kingdom on the Veigars? The first town I visit is in the snow just like the veigars had and they also wear ugg boots. the similarities are endless.

Never mind some stray dogs that caught fire accidentally in the snow. my next enemy was some undead skeletons. although I did try to talk to them at first they were not very expressive and seemed to cut me in half with a massive cleaver. never mind though I barely felt a thing.

My mate the fighter got some dude in the pub so drunk that he passed out. Then asked me to steal all his clothes. around the corner there was a bed that I can use. Apparently beds are for sex? This is a strange worlds indeed. At least I have a choice about using the bed, it seems unavoidable that I now have to wear a moustache. Its horrible and black and itchy and not very dignifies and I cant wait to get rid of it. Just like Movember, and this isn't even for a good cause.

Anoikis's Warband 5: De-regularisation

Anoikis's Warband 5: De-regularisation

Lol the female irregulars are regulars at the pub.I wonder if I am an irregular regular too.Maybe just an unusual regular. Pretty sure that I own a pub in every continent and I take every opportunity going to shout people a few drinks.

Hrm. I think it is time for a holiday. Maybe one of the other countries will help me finish of the real sultanate?

Anoikis's Warband 4: Snow for Perl

4 Snow for Perl

It seems to me that I am getting underestimated. I thought by wearing a bikini and uggboots the locals would think I am realy tough. but they seem to look down on me for being a girl. Every time I beseige a castle or town they tell me they will die of old age soon and they have lots of food for me to take. I'll show them, I'll take evey town thats going.

And that is what I did. I climed the ladders I ran up ramps I jumped through crenelations, I used a sword a connon, grenades. meat clevers, military cleavers, arrows, javalins. I came from behond. I jumped on peoples heads. And eventually I prevailed untill there was only one castle left.

Now that I have nearly as many towns as the origional sultinate I am having trouble defending them all. It seems 1 lord on my side is insuficient when they have 19. So I have decided to promote Kat and give her the next title deed. But first I need to model her after myself. Ugg boots and all.

I though I may say hello to the last of the veigars before I took their castle. Then they gave me a quest and asked me to be civil with them. Then the last lord wants my second best physician to have a look at his friend? What about me? It isnt fair I've done my best and I'm better than him. Boyar Doru must be sexist. Never the less I decided to help.

In fact that put me in a bit of a benelovent mood. I thik I will leave this castle as the last stronghold of the veigars. I dont feel like a truce though because I still have their king and a few nobles captured. So
I'll head back to the desert to get a tan.

Well would you look at that. It seems Kat the Cook cas bitten off a bit more than she could chew. I hope she is still wearing the uniform that I gave her.

LOL, she was. She all high and mighty now that she is a lord. I dont know about that. Although it seems my other companions are getting a bit expensive. I suppose I will need to give them their own banner later to save me some cash.
So I have been poking around some more at the tournaments. Chatting to the Lords of the Sand when they are nearby, and whacking them with an axe if they disagree with me.

Axes are interesting. Eventually I found out that when you use an axe people cannot block your strikes, thats why it was working so much better than the dark king's two-handed sword. When taking a castle I seem to get crowded a lot so I have been hunting for the smallest fastest weapond avaliable. Otherwise I keep hitting the walls and my companions take all the experience.
Its also a good idea to have a ranged weapon handy, for when they are just out of reach. But bows keep me too far away from the action so I have been using throwing knives, or axes. Anoikis the axe bringer, I like that.

Here are some other pics of me in seiges:
He was the last man standing, all his comrades were dead or captured. after a while he jumped.
Duo skeletal charge. I looked but I didnt find anymore skeletons to recruite.
The seiges are rather drawn out and they get a bit tiring and chaotic at the end. my people are red the enemy is silver.

Anoikis's Warband: 3 Crowdsurfing

Anoikis's Warband: 3 Crowdsurfing
Took a castle for Queen Perl and a town for myself in a corner of the world. The other soldiers are not all that smart, don't they realise you can jump of the castle walls to get at your opponent? Or maybe they would die from the fall? I think they should all wear Ugg boots, that must be what saves me. Incidentally 2-handed swords are not very helpful when fighting in a hallway you keep hitting walls and things. I may have to go shopping for a new weapon with a shorter reach if I am going to keep at these keeps.

Also rather than making a sultanate in the sand I think It may fit Perl better if she is the Sultan of the Snow. I wonder if my castle can fend for itself while I go shopping? You need to be properly prepared for sieges I am told least you run out of food.

PS, I had no small amount of fun crowdsurfing into siege and leaping from the tallest spire.

Anoikis's Warband: 2 Claiming a Pearl

Anoikis's Warband: 2 Claiming a Pearl

After another tournament win i visited the castle to see who watched the event, Just somebodies mum. I'm starting to wonder where all the blokes are. I only seem to meet them on the battlefield, and they are in no shape to talk afterwards. I'll go and visit the nice merchant and his brother. Maybe they can tell me what is going on here.

Undead are following me? and wow there is a lot of them. I don't think they are here for revenge, I'm sure I havent killed that many people yet. Maybe they want healing? But there is such a lot of them. Maybe they are a fan club for the Bikini&Ugg boot look? no, probably not. Then they would have titles like Fanboys or Followers, not Undead. At any rate they are rather slow. I may come back later. Cautiously though, just in case they are not the friendly sort of undead.

No sooner than I left the undead for dead, (pun intended) we were set upon be sea raiders. I had no idea how this would play out but since the options were submit to slavery or finding wounds to heal there was no contest. It seemed though that the odds were a little out of kilter. We were able to block off their reinforcements as they arrived and most of the raiders tried to flee, I wasnt able to get my hands dirty hardly at all.

The merchant was nearly as pleased to see me as I was to see him. His brother is home safe and it turns out that the bandits were lead by the chief of the watch. Si my next task is to wander around the town with my big sword and thwack anybody that shoots an arrow at me. Sounds simple enough. Conveniently I bought some sunglasses Just before this venture. I know its dark but I though they looked cool, anyway they were also quite good at keeping bandit blood out of my eyes.

Unfortunately the merchant who wouldn't tell me his name is getting exiled from town. If only he said what his name was I'm sure I could have hired him or come back to visit or escorted him someplace else. But it wasn't to be. He will just fade into obscurity as yet another merchant. After I said farewell a farmer bumped into me, the nice sort of bumping though. Not the sort where you lose your purse.

The farmer came from a nearby town Fear-i-chen, Apparently all the brigands who I didnt find went here to cause trouble and hide from me, they should have run farther. I like farmers. After making quick work of the bandits I bought all the food that the villagers could spare. Then they asked me to fetch some cows for them like I was a rustler or something. No way. I like farmers and I like horsies but the only cows I like are the ones for dinner. I'm not about to go chasing cattle all over the land. Not even if they are wounded and in need of healing.

So off I go meandering around the country, dropping into towns learning poetry and assessing the local economy. It seems to me that they do not understand the healing powers of ale, So where I can I have decided to setup breweries thorough the out the land. People may come to know me an Anoikis the Brewer, Or the Pretty Publican, Or maybe the Bikini Beer Bringer.
Oh I also get attacked a lot by unfortunate brigands and some honest thieves and disgraced nords and the like.

One time whilst inspecting the quality of ale in a pub some bloke called Nizar started to chat me up. I have given him the opportunity to prove himself. Although he is now the only bloke in my band of experienced Valkyries. I wonder if he will fit in?

I won another couple of tournaments then decided that would be a great way to rise funds so I bet on myself in every round. Then I bought some breweries. They now cover all the expenses of my little troup of friends. I found a bloke called Borscha or something but didnt have enough room in my party for him. I'll dont really want to abandon any of my gals at the moment so I'll hang on for a few more battles and see if my renown increases enough for me to hire more hero's.

Met some sheela Perl or something. Apparently she used to run the domestic part of the Sultana. We played simon says for a bit then I went to visit the last town in the sultanate and they wouldn't let me in. Something to do with being rebellious. I had to sneek into town to set up a brewery there and people attacked me on the way. It certainly is a very violent land I have arrived at.

So I though maybe I should leave and let things cool down for a while. The closest town was _ and as I arrived I found the sultan had beseiged the town. I rode up to him to say G'Day and he yelled something at me then charged with his troops. He is not happy at all. Maybe he though I looked too promiscuous in my bikini an ugg boots.
Part way though the battle I noticed my bikini had changed colour and once again I was glad I am wearing sunglasses. Wow that was long, drawn out and they had a lot of reinforcements. my cannon worked well on the reinforcements although I ran out of ammo a little to quickly. Eventually there were no reinforcements and I captured the sultan. Methinks this will halp Perl a bit to reclaim the throne. She can make it a refuge for all downtrodden Sheilas and we cal all wear bikini & uggboots, even the locals. It seems to be appropriate desert attire.

So I found outt hat Shiraz is the personal seat of the current sultan and I thought maybe I would take it for myself. But the Rhoderics are already seiging the castle. They will let me help them but I dont know it it will benifit me any. There are none of the sultins lords in the castle. and I doubt I could fight that many Rhoderics myself. A but of a conundrum. Do I help? Hmm

Well I suppose it will be a learning experience I have never done a seige before It may be fun. Hmm, wasnt really all that hard. there was a bottleneck atthe top of the ladder and they were attacking with spears that they couldnt get a propper swing with. then fighting through the town was mostly 1v1, and I own at 1v1. Disappointingly though the Rhoderics took the town. now my future sultinate is smaller.

Meandering around I found some more undead and went to see if I can heal them. Doesnt seem like it and knocking them out seems to kill them so I havent taken any prizioner. Bu I did capture a skeleton horse. That was so cool I traded it with mine. Now I must really look a sight, charging into battle on my skeletal steed, With my cool sunglasses, A bikini to show I can handle the snow and some Ugg boots because they are so soft and furry. Also somwhere along the way I picked up some Black Plate gloves. Then have a really good armor to encumbrance ratio.

Eventually I got motivated to attack my future subjects. I chose the town in the corner of the map as my own and beseiged it. After winning i met Jere, a man after my own heart. Although he uses different techniques to heal and I am better than him it will be nice to have a fellow medic along for the ride. We can heal eachother to I suppose if on gets knocked out and the other is kept in reserve. To that end I dont think I will give him a horse. he can walk safetly behind me with a nice ranged bow I think.

And thats it for now. I'll have a little bit of a plan on what to do next.

Anoikis's Warband: 1 An introduction

Anoikis's Warband

an AAR for M&B: Warband: Blood and steel, primarily to find out who Anoikis is.

I grew up in the lands of Cimmeria, of the line of Conan the Cunning. Why did I leave my home? To seek new lands of course, to find new techniques, To discover new ways to excel. To define myself.

I trekked through the alps to reach the country of the Vaegirs. They were a little surprised to see me in a bikini and Ugg boots. I think that is why somebody in town attacked me on sight, lack of dress sense. At any rate I think i surprised him more then I used my greatsword to split his left from right. Actually I surprised myself a little too. Then some dude can rushing at me from the other direction so I took a swing at him, but instead of disconnecting his head he talked to me.

Turns out I made a friend and got a job. What a nice person. He didnt seems to think my dress sence was that horriffic. Maybe he was impressed that I didnt mind the cold. Well back in chimmeria the snow is much colder than here and the blizzards can rip the flesh from your verry bones. I think I'll keep the bikini & Ugg boot look to show the natives how tough I am. Next was a tavern, apparently that is where I can find people to help my with my new job.

Nobody was there, Oh well onto the next town.

There were a few preople here a woman named Klethi was looking for work so I signed her on. That was easy, she wanted 200 up front, it was probably to buy ugg boots like mine. There is also a traveller taking a break in the back corner. I grilled him about everything I could. seems there are book merchants around, definately something to look into, whatever they are. The shops also had some Cannons and Jezzail. No idea what they are looks like I will get to learn how to heal lots of different wounds in these lands. Now I need to get some. To keep my practice up of course, nothing like first hand experience.

There is a tournement in town. Seems I can beat up a few of the locals without anybody getting killed. Bonus. Also I can practice in an areana. I think I'll have a go there first and see if they fight different to what I am used to.

There was a little house in the middle of the arena and I stood in there are whalloped people that came inside. simple enough. Seems a decent way to practice my skills although I imagine the tournament will make me famous as there were not a lot of good fighters around.

Well all in all the tourny was simpler than I thoguht it would be, and I got the chance to heal up between bouts. Well that was fun onto the next one I suppose, I still need 5 more people to help out my mate the merchant. Maybe the girls att he pub will be inclined to have a go? I should ask them.

So after picking up a bunch of gals, we trundelled of to see the merchants brother. the rouges who kisnaped him were no match for our crossbows, and I had a turn of the Jezzail. I beleive it is some form of rifle. On the way back I got a little sidetracked and visited a few more towns. I had just decided to return to the nive merchant to make sure his brother got home OK when I happened upon another tournament. Snap, staying here for a while. Then I went to the bar to check out the local scene before the match and there was another sheela Matheld who wanted to tag along with me. Also in the pub were some mercs for hire, These ones were nearly wearing as little armor as me. So far it has been an all girl party in the lands of Caldeira
